impasse: border walls in rutt etra

Thousands of miles of border walls have been constructed since the fall of the Berlin wall in 1989. More border walls have been built in the past twenty-eight years than in the past hundred, becoming longer and stronger with time.

Impasse is visual inquiry into the critique of border walls as a violent design–a way to see a visualization of the mass amount of border wall territory and the divisions which are visible in the processing of the landscape.
